This 65m x 60m permanent dome facility was installed to support the needs of the local community for a wide range of sport. This is currently the largest air dome in Ireland.
Belfast’s first indoor 3G pitch allows the local community to use this multisport facility. A constant issue for all clubs is water logged and damaged pitches and the need to cancel training. These new facilities allow the whole community and other professional football, rugby and GAA clubs to keep training. The facility has already hosted sessions involving Ulster Rugby, Cliftonville, Ballymena United, Glentoran and the Antrim GAA team.
As principle contractor Rocklyn managed the transformation of waste ground into a state of the art facility that now provides two seven-a-side football pitches that can be combined for one full sized nine-a-side pitch.
