This new state-of-the-art facility received an Award for Excellence from the Sport and Play Construction Association (SAPCA).
The Tennis Centre comprises of four full-size acrylic courts, to compliment the six all-weather courts and nine artificial grass courts currently used by the College. The introduction of these new high-performance surfaces further enhances Ellesmere’s distinguished reputation as one of the top schools for sporting excellence.
The facility is a low-maintenance, fixed structure with the flexibility to open the sides. This has the benefit of creating a sense of playing outside whilst still benefiting from a consistent playing surface and protection from the elements.
Whilst this modern facility is mainly used by students within the school, it is also open to the local community, other schools, and tennis clubs to have their own training sessions and weekend tournaments.
