Installed at LTA Nottingham Tennis Centre in early 2022, this smooth dome covers 3 full size tennis courts and equipped with its own LED lighting system. The facility is now a permanent addition to the tennis centre, supported by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as part of a larger investment into upgrading the existing facilities and aimed at empowering more people of all skill levels to play tennis more often.
With this smooth dome installation, a different method of anchoring was performed and heavier PVC fabrics were added, along with a double skin construction method to provide the solid structural integrity needed to withstand extreme weather and conditions. This particular project was designed to provide the strongest and most reliable facility possible which is able to accommodate high level training and tournament play throughout the calendar year.
LTA Nottingham plays host to several high-profile regional and national tennis competitions throughout the year, as well as international events such as the Rothesay Open Nottingham and the British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships.
